The SWAYAM: Digital Learning and Monitoring Cell has successfully completed following activities.
The University of Mysore appointed University SWAYAM Coordinator on 31st January, 2018 and deputed to ‘Orientation workshop on SWAYAM Courses’ organized by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi. As per the Direction of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), University of Mysore is established full-fledged SWAYAM –Digital Learning Monitoring Cell (DLMC) on 21st March, 2018 for adopt and effective implementation of SWAYAM Courses.
The University of Mysore nominated about 67 faculty members on 24th April, 2018 as a University SWAYAM Mentors for facilitate and guide the students for SWAYAM Courses in respective post-graduate departments in Manasagangotri Campus, Hassan Post- graduate Center, Mandya Post-graduate Center and Chamarajanagar Post-graduate Center. Out of 67 University SWAYAM Mentors, about 35 mentors login and selected course details were uploaded in National Server of UGC-MOOCs web link of https://ugcmoocs.inflibnet.ac.in/spoc.php.
The following activities have initiated through SWAYAM –Digital Learning Monitoring Cell (DLMC) as follows:
- University SWAYAM Coordinator Login process in UGC-MOOCs web link of https://ugcmoocs.inflibnet.ac.in/spoc.php.
- Credit Transfer: Academic Council made a resolution for Minimum 4 credits in a course through SWAYAM platform as a part of open elective dated 19th September 2018.
- Linking of UGC-MOOCs, e-PG PATHASHALA, SWAYAM and SWAYAM PRABHA website to our university website under UOM FOCUS - http://www.uni-mysore.ac.in/english-version/ugc-moocs-swayam-courses
- Linking of SWAYAM Video and Radio jingles English as well as Kannada - http://www.uni-mysore.ac.in/english-version/ugc-moocs-swayam-courses
- SWAYAM PRABHA (24/7 DTH channels) installed in 30 Post –graduate departments, Manasagangotri Campus, Mysuru with flipped classroom.
- Display Boards about SWAYAM Courses installed in Manasagangotri Campus, Mysuru and AO size SWAYAM posters circulated all the post –graduate centers, University of Mysore.
- Created social media networks of face book, twitter and email accounts in the name of University of Mysore
- Six SWAYAM - Digital Learning Mentoring Cell (DLMC) Meeting were conducted at AC Hall, Crawford Hall, University of Mysore, Mysuru

- One Chairman’s meeting for enrollment on SWAYAM courses held on 30th January 2019 at Einstein Hall, DOS in Physics, Manasagangotri, Mysuru.
- The University Grants Commission, New Delhi, selected Mysore University is one among the center for conducting the SWAYAM Proctored (Pen +Paper) Examination (University of Mysore, Center code: 18).
UGC-MOOCs e-content Development:
University of Mysore, have sent three proposals to the University Grants Commission, New Delhi regarding e-contents (new course proposal for Post-graduate level). Out of which one proposal is approved and same courses is released in upcoming cycle starts from July-November, 2019 (Course Title: Goods and Service Tax (GST), Department of Studies in Commerce, Manasagangotri, Mysuru. University Grants Commission has released 13 Lakhs Rupees to principal investigator for development of E-content of above said course.
