About the Department
The Department of Economics was established in the year 2013-14 The Department of Economics is one of the prestigious Departments in Social Sciences in terms of number of enrolment of students, teachers. The Department has the credit of having highest number of students passed in UGC KSET examination in University of Mysore and also in Karnataka. About 15 candidates have cleared UGC KSET Examination during last five years. The final year M.A. degree students were also selected for various jobs.
The department has been doing very well with the active contribution and performance of faculty members and all academic activities are organized with University of Mysore and the guidance of Prof. Shivabasavaiah, Director, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Post Graduate Centre, Chamarajanagar.
