Activities of TSSRC
The
centre has extended its activities in four main areas
1.
Cooperatives
The
center is actively involved with different cooperatives and Federation of
cooperatives both nationally and internationally.
The
members through the center have been offering their expertise to different
cooperatives in the form of providing legal
advise,
designing of business development plans, training in financial management and
capacity building of cooperative societies.
The
centre is also involved in research and academic activities relating to
cooperatives. The following are some of the major
activities
related to cooperatives.

Research Support to The High Power
Committee on Cooperatives formed by the Ministry for Agriculture, Government
of India
·
Development of Curriculum for the
Diploma in Cooperative Banking and MBA in Cooperation and Banking started by
University of Mysore in collaboration with Karnataka State Urban Co-operative
Banking Federation
·
Development of Curriculum for the
Diploma in Cooperative Management run by the Karnataka State Cooperative
Federation
·
Conducting Training Programmes to
Executives, Employee, Board Members, & Members of the Cooperatives.
Facilitating Doctoral Research in the area of Cooperatives
2.
NGOs
TSRRC
is actively associated with NGOs in disseminating the findings of the research
studies undertaken at the center. Members of TSRRC are invited by individual
NGOs and their federations to address issues of governance, fundraising,
financial management, volunteering and staff retention programmes. The
following are some of the major activities related to NGOs

Collaborating with NGO federations in
NGO Management
·
Work with SHG Federations
· Preparation of Course Curriculum and Teaching for Master of Management of Non-Profit Organisation Management run by VILD in collaboration with University of Mysore
3.
Research Support
The
center provides a platform for effective meshing of theory and practice. The
centre regularly takes up research projects and studies for different agencies.
4.
Documentation and Publishing
TSRRC takes up documentation of research works undertaken by the members and also has a growing library that provides reading materials related to Third Sector activity and research. TSRRC also brings out peer reviewed Occasional Papers.
